Volontoria was established by high school students who noticed a lack of volunteer opportunities while applying to post-secondary schools. The aim of our organization is to reach the youth and encourage driven high school students to volunteer. The benefits of volunteering stem beyond giving back to a community and can translate into useful career experience for prospective job roles.

What started as a highschool economics project, has grown into a pursuit to make the youth volunteer on a large scale. Many of our peers were unaware of volunteer opportunities, or, for lack of a better word, did not consider volunteering to be ‘cool’. Our goal is to change this perception, in a city where we believe the youth have much potential.
